Hoorah for birthday parties! it was much fun, and fortunatly we were able to clean out the basement and make it look ULTRA cute and party there. It made me happy, because i didn't have to worry about disturbing anyone upstairs or being loud for the kids, and peter and petra could still watch TV or whatever while we were downstairs partying. stress factor= SO much better. it was great, and im totally jelous of Josephine..haa she has that for ev er. woot woot! so the night started off with some talking, chilling, listening to music, eating pizza, etc.Here's the room where we didn't really sit at all, but it looks pretty, right?so then later we being the goobs that we are played "Mindens next top model!" haa we had DRAMA DRAMA DRAMA, and luckily, we had our "tasche mit!" therefore we COULD make a competition! haaa it was so much fun. we also made a cat walk video, but i don't have it yet. i hope to get it on youtube or something, but we'll see. So here are the pictures from our Photo Shoot...Then after that, we busted open the pinyatA ( i cant spell, we know that...) pirate with Laura's crutches. haa so pinjatas are quite random and weird, but i mean fun, right?Then after all that adventure, we watched pretty woman on the big projector screen and talked randomly some more. hoorah! now i have to clean all that up and stuff, but you know, no biggie.

Yesterday Justus told me he wanted to be a cowboy when he grows up, so i just wooped out my best cowboy attire and tried to dress him up in it. he's smarter than i thought and wouldn't let me, but Josephina was like I WANT TO BE A COWGIRL! so here she is.....

So on Friday after school, i decided i was in desperate need for a haircut. I, as usual, didn't really want any length taken off, rather a few more layers on the front and a small trim to make sure the ends weren't SO dead. needless to say they WERE so dead considering i hadn't had any sort of haircut since when JON (the hairstylist t0 whom i will NEVER go again) cut my long beautiful curly hair into a "let's take a time travel back into the 80's" triangle hairdo last may. so here it is, a bit shorter than i thought, but not so bad. I'll admit, though, i kinda really like the whole scraggly curly hair thing i had going on, but most people don't, and it DOES look a lot healthier now, but i mean, i DO like the whole crazy thing. i dunno, it works w/my hair i think. but whatever, too late now...

BeforeAnd after. excuse it's kind of odd shape and the fact that i look like a tool in the pictures, but it does look ok now. It's in that kind of "right after hair dresser" state when they make it look different than it always looks. oh well, you can get the gist...My birthday party is tonight, and the basement looks AMAZING. i can't wait. so i'll be updating in the very near future!

Needless to say, it's been a crazy, busy, VERRUCKT last couple of days. On tuesday, alex and i ventured to Hanover, because i had 5th and 6th periods free. It was my first time actually spending more than 30 minutes there, despite the fact that i live only about 30 minutes away. It's a really pretty city, and we got to see some crunkly awesome ventagy shops. there was this one shop FILLED with old signs and stuff. wow, cool.

around the rathouse, however, is the prettiest spot. there's this like huge lake in the middle of hannover, then around the rathouse it kind of islands off. here's the small part and the rathouse. we then walked around the big part and sat on the benches people watching. there was this one kid who rode his little bike without pedals HIN UND ZURUCK for the ENTIRE hour and a half we were sitting there....little german kids....

we came across this statue figure (from 1995- looks pretty old, right..? haaa WRONG!) and saw about a zillion photo ops. here are my favs. Wednesday consisted of just hanging around, playing with the kids, playing some mad card games, soccer outside, etc. it was really fun. thursday we walked around a lot and (because he brought my film camera w/!!! YAY!!!!) went around and took pictures, then went to eat. haha DOENER!

Friday was awesome. first we met Katha in the Stadt at 3 and tried on "pornobrille" her FAV and played Germany's next top model in the Shoe store. i think alex's walk beat BOTH of ours COMBINED! haaa but honestly now...check out THOSE shoes!i LOVE this picture...We then went to Jazzklub friday night, and im really glad he got to experience that because its AWESOME! ok so then on saturday we had to say goodbye, which was of course sad, but then that night i went to the abschlussball! it was cooL! max had been taking this dance course for a very long time now, and the ball was last night! it was amazing. they only played like nice dancing music, and everyone actually had to DANCE! i learned the "blues" dance, the ChaCha, and the basic walz. id better write them down before i forget, honestly...

i ended up wearing a dress that rebecca gave me a while ago that i found in my cupboard. wow, and im glad i did, instead of my big green one, because there were only about 10 girls there with long dresses.

Petra and max danced...Max and i danced....or shall i say..max danced and i TRIED...haaaPeter and Petra can dance, too..AWESOMELY! i had no clue. they said they only knew that one dance, but it was great, and they were quite fast and pretty and perfect! Peter looked quite spiffy in his nice suit, and petra pretty much always looks spiffy when she goes out...what an Amazing couple! they're so great.

This is Carson, Petra's brother and Max's dad...he's so cute and funny. sometimes a little out there, though if you know what i mean, but it's ok. he and giddy are PERFECT for each other, and they know about every kind of dance immaginable as well...

HOORAH! happy birthday me! teehee. omg it's been the longest/best/most filled last few days EVER honestly. too bad all the pictures from my birthday are on alex's camera, so i'll have to get back with those in a while. a few stories will do, however. so on friday i got home from school and alex was BOOM there, sleeping, of course and then i had to wake him up and we talked yada yada yada. ok so then we went to the theatre on friday night to see a play IN GERMAN that neither of us could really understand, but whatever it was really good anyway. saturday was awesome, because the weather was finally beautifulso we got to see some of the stadt minden and walk around the river. saturday night was my awesome birthday celebration, in which we partied from saturday night to SO LATE (5 am...oh GOSH) sunday morning. it consisted of karaoke, champaign, cake, hangin ouuuut with some AWESOME germans, going to the disko, making a mcdonalds run at 4 30 in the morning, finally returning home at 5, then not falling asleep until about 7...

then being waken up my Justus and Josephina at 8 06 because it was my birthday and they gave me a cake and a german cookbook and these things for my bracelet. we had to be at oma's birthday party by about 10 30, so we left at 10 and, with less than one and a half hours of sleep might i add, partied at oma's bday until 6pm when helma finally offered to give us a ride home so we could nap. AHHH! so we did for about an hour or so, but then my friend katha came by and wished me a happy birhtday (yay!) and reminded me that i had to write down my LAME MATH test. ahhh lame. anyway, so all in all it was an awesome day and i got some amazing packets and OMMMGG the best birthday EVER, like honestly...

so then today i had to go to school which is lame b/c alex got to sleep till like 12 and then we rode to the famous place in minden...

so needless to say not much has really been going on. i wrote a 3 hour english test today. we partied Justus' birthday on Saturday AGAIN...baha, wow, we like to parrrrrtay! Janin's nose started to bleed in politik today. Im CPR certified. I have belly dancing tonight. im actually pretty much just updating to update until alex comes tomorrow, then hopefully ill have some crunkly awesome stories to tell. It really really feels like a friday today, which is quite annoying. omg but HOORAH germany's next top model comes on tonight! "I want you sexyyy!" bahaaa....
